Living in Texas, I have the luxury of finding freshly made Pico de Gallo courtesy of my neighborhood grocery store. I buy a package of this amazing, fresh stuff once a week, because, well my husband and I put Pico de Gallo on pretty much everything we eat. Honestly, it’s a bit overpriced to buy the pre-made salsa when I can easily make it myself with fresh ingredients. My Pico de Gallo Salsa recipe is easy to make and delicious. This is a Weight Watcher friendly recipe and it’s ZERO SmartPoints for two tablespoons!
My husband and I love to add a scoop of this fresh salsa to tacos, grilled chicken, burrito bowls, salad, and eggs! A little pro tip to keep home made pico fresh is to add just a dash of white vinegar. By adding vinegar, this will stay fresh for up to 1 week in the refrigerator!!
Pico de Gallo Salsa is easy to make, fresh, and the perfect addition to any Mexican inspired dish! I make this at least once a week so that I can have fresh pico de gallo on hand at all times. I love to add pico to breakfast tacos, burrito bowls, tacos, and even just a fried egg!
I hope you enjoy these bites of flavor!
